Gypsy Music & Dining in Nyul

9/28/2012
Off to the countrysidea to small village south of Gyor called Nyul with incredible wine cellars and live Gypsy music. A little well earned Adult time after a long week of research & teaching for Kevin & Ferenc.
The Cellar Inn is called Szel Fiai Fogado & Cellarium -  http://www.winecellarinn.hu/
The food was great, I had a handmade pasta dish with locally harvested mushrooms with a cream wine sauce.
Kevin, Anna & Ferenc shared a traditional variety of meats & vegetables, some fried & some broiled.  It looked good but I didn't taste any as I was so happy with my own dish.  The live music was a fitting touch to our dining experience.  Of course we sampled a couple of bottles of the wine from their vineyards.  It didn't take much more than a glass or two of wine to get the group singing and dancing along with the wandering musicians.
Pictures should be self-explanatory, fun was had by everyone.  The beautiful blue dye drapes & table cloths are made in the region and traditional patterns for the Gyor Area.

wine cellars built into the hillside line the driveway up to the restaurant.

Sunday 10/1/2012 we head to Vienna on the train for a day at the Prater Amusement Park and a little sight seeing too. The start of OctoberFest!!!
